This map uses big data from the GDELT Project which monitors local media around the world and live-translates it from 65 languages, along with Google’s BigQuery and Carto mapping software to visualize locations and potential transit corridors of refugees around the world. Each dot represents a location of the event as well as the tone of the article mentioning refugees. Each dot provides detailed information about the event and a link to the online news article.
